Keeping your printers internal components free of dust is a very important
factor in preventing wear on its internal moving parts. When powered on,
a laser printer produces static electricity, attracting dust particles
not only onto the printer's surface, but also inside the printer,
clogging up the gears and cooling fans, and wearing on the rubber &
teflon rollers that are always turning as your pages print.
A good indicator of how dusty your printer is inside, is to look underneath it
your printer's internal components will likely have a similar amount of dust.
